Part-time work

You may enjoy some part time work for a few hours a week. Don't do to much if you already have a full-time job. The old wives tale 'all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy' has some truth in it. Find a balance between work, play and family.

Benefits

The benefit system exists to help people. You may only need help for a short period of time but the system is there to help you. Don't abuse it! If you don't have time to understand it then get help and advice from people. The first stop is with the benefit system staff themselves.

Improve skills

You have skills and talents that you may be using in your present job. Or you may be in a job that doesn't utilise your abilities at all! Perhaps you don't feel that you are appreciated where you are, or really want to improve your skills to better yourself.
