Benefits
If you are entitled to benefits then claim them! But the converse is true. Don't claim any benefits under false pretenses.
You may be unaware of the various benefits that could be available to you, even if you have a reasonably high income!
There are various groups, including Citizens Advice, who will be able to assist you with their advice based on your circumstances.
If you pay rent then, depending upon your income, you may be able to get help from your local council with your rent and your council tax.
If you want to claim Disability Living Allowance or Incapacity Benefit or your claims have already been turned down then an excellent website with guides on what to do next, is www.benefitsandwork.co.uk (but there is an annual charge to access some of the information)
There are a number of agencies who will help you to get the benefits that you are entitled to.
The local Council will also be willing to help you, particularly with specific questions that you may have.
