Problems with your mortgage
If you have problems paying your mortgage then you must deal with them as quickly as possible.
If it is just a cash flow problem then contact your lender as soon as possible and explain your circumstances and your proposal to resolve the problem.
If the problem is more serious then it is essential that you deal with it before it becomes critical. Get professional advice through a reputable financial advisor as soon as possible.
Take control of your finances
You may be struggling to pay the mortgage and spending on items which should have a much lower priority!
If you do not know what you are spending money on then get your household accounts up to date as soon as possible. You may have other outgoings which you do not need to make. You may have other outgoings which you feel are not as important as the mortgage.
Sort your household accounts out. Understand your spending. The ideal is to pay all your bills on time, but why pay, say, a club membership if you cannot pay the mortgage? Prioritise your expenditure and maximise your income. This may resolve your immediate cashflow problem.
If it is just a temporary cash flow problem then contact your lender as soon as possible and explain your circumstances and your proposal to resolve the problem.
